It was near here that the Lewis and Clark Corps of Discovery crossed into the Bitterroot Valley in September 1905, after successfully traversing the intense mountain terrain.In this USA-made wool blanket design, two peaked bands represent the Columbia River Drainage Basins divided by Lost Trail: Bitterroot Clark-Fork to the north, and Salmon to the south. The middle band showcases some of the wildlife that call the area home.
